It’s that time of year again, where we all come to celebrate who we are.
Pride is a place of inclusivity, and because of such, it’s the perfect place for COFS joined by the Emerald City Sisters to promulgate joy and expiate stigmatic guilt. Smiles, laughs, and hugs were shared by all. At least this year, the storm missed pride entirely! Other parts of the city were experiencing hail, while the warmth and love of the Pride goers pushed the storm away. On the Saturday of Pride, the organizers put together a pride parade. The first Pride parade in Kansas City in many years, and we were just as excited to be in it as the people were to watch it! On Sunday, NvC Sister Bennie Dryl and NvC Guard Burley Esque spent some time in the Heartland’s Men’s Chorus’s dunk tank. |
