It’s pride month all over the country, so COFS is going all over the region to promulgate joy and to let people know they are valid! They are loved! We marched with the Des Moines Catholic Worker, a few of the Mad City Sisters, Sister Ursula of the Emerald City Sisters, and Sister Freida Peoples.
Despite the high winds, which you can ask NvC Guard Burley Esque about, the parade had an amazing turnout. People of all ages were there to celebrate with us. In addition to pride, the MOPI conclave was happening right down the road. Sister Clara was gracious enough to host all of the sisters in the parade to her house for a magnificent potluck dinner. After dinner, we surprised Nvc Sister Bach Lava with a birthday pie. She managed to blow out all of the candles in one blow! |
